Seminars and Workshops
Seminars and Workshops | Fall 2007 | Spring 2008
Throughout the year, City Seminary of New York offers non-degree seminars and lectures in areas of relevance of ministry to the city. Our visiting faculty has included Susan Baker, Stephen Fowl, Emmanuel Katongole, Anne-Marie Kool, Tremper Longman III, Charles Marsh, Manuel Ortiz, Christine Pohl, Eldin Villafane and Andrew Walls. Seminars have included World Christianity, Introduction to Urban Ministry, Philippians, Proverbs, and the Church and the Civil Rights Movement.
Seminars on the Bible and Urban Ministry are part of the ongoing life of City Seminary of New York, with more opportunities for learning planned.
All classes are scheduled in the evenings, on weekends and through intensives to provide students who work the opportunity to attend seminary.
Because our context for learning and living our faith is local and global, City Seminary of New York organizes exposure trips to cities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. The first “urban pilgrimage” to South Africa and Senegal took place in February 2007.
