Writing Center

Writing well makes many contributions to the work of Christian ministry in the city. For example, clear and creative writing can enable effective communication in a sermon, produce a successful grant proposal, or sharpen a research article. Writing can help us reflect on our ministries, and share what we are learning with others. Good writing can inspire, challenge, teach, and clarify. Writing is one way we learn, and is itself an expression of worship to God. The careful use of words is clearly important. However, writing well, creatively, and carefully does not come easy, but is a practice cultivated over a lifetime. By the establishment of a writing center, we are expressing our commitment to the craft of writing in and for ministry.
