Reflections
A unique, brief experience that was rich for the opportunities to fellowship and engage Christ’s presence in the community.
- Rita Aszalos (New Song Community Church)
I loved the fact that some of us did not know the borough, did not know each other, but we were unified for the one cause of prayer – powerful.
- Margaret Blair (Church of God of Prophecy)
One of the most valuable parts of the prayer walk was getting to meet with community representatives who shared the burdens of their neighborhood. Hearing first hand from neighborhood residents about what was going on in their community was extremely enlightening and helped us prepare for prayer. Our prayers for healing and change were very focused on specific issues as we actually walked the streets together praying aloud.
- Jena Croxford (Redeemer Presbyterian Church)
There is so much hope in the Bronx. So much potential for the Body of Christ to make a difference. My eyes were opened again to the great plans that God has for this community. Banks are returning. Change is on the horizon. So much hope!!
- Alan Farrell (Miracle Provider Church)
It was great! All of the prayers were great. I loved meeting people. I loved the ice cream in Chinatown. I thank my dad for bringing me. It was great!
- Peter Gornik (New Song Community Church; age 6)
A wonderful opportunity to get to know and pray for a part of the city I was completely unfamiliar with.
- Alex Haiken (Home Church Bible Study)
This was a great experience for me. This was my first time to walk and pray. We prayed about many things that were on my mind concerning my neighborhood. I do believe because of our effort God will answer these prayers.
- Josette Linton (Miracle Provider Church)
There is a real challenge to be part of this divine activity of pounding the pavement with prayer. It continues to bring our eart towards God's vision of the city.
- Peter Ong (Living Faith Community Church)
It was a great experience. I liked the communal gathering of Christians. It was good to be able to truly pray about things one observed in the past and did nothing about.
- Bola Oyesanya (Redeemed Christian Church of God, Brooklyn)
It was a wonderful experience. It opened my eyes more to the needs of the city/community.
- Adebise Oyesile (Redeemed Church of God, Chapel of Hope)
I liked it.
- Joshua Wong (Redeemer Presbyterian Church; age 2)
