"The Ministry of Reconciliation"

The first City Seminary of New York Fall Conference on Urban Ministry was held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at New Song Community Church in Harlem. The emphasis of the conference was on a theological, practical and social vision for reconciliation in our world today. Leading the conference were our two keynote speakers, Emmanuel Katongole from Duke Divinity School and Miroslav Volf from Yale Divinity School.

Approximately 100 people joined us for a rich time of teaching and dialogue around the complex issue of the ministry of reconciliation.  Over 25 churches from the metropolitan New York were represented at the conference.  It was an encouragement to be amongst so many who were convicted about the responsibility and the need of the Church to work for reconciliation in our city and our world.
